Greetings from the North Dakota Grain Growers Association office! It is a busy time for your Association as we prepare to celebrate NDGGA’s 50th Anniversary in Bismarck on November 16! NDGGA’s 50th Anniversary is a tribute to the dedication of its members and its directors; 50 years is a long run for any organization and it is all due to the belief of the membership of NDGGA that makes it possible.
This is shaping up to be a very exciting year for NDGGA. Your Association has joined in a lawsuit with other agricultural organization against California’s Proposition 65 to defend the use of glyphosate by North Dakota and U.S. farmers. NDGGA is actively involved in the negotiations surrounding the upcoming Farm Bill legislation. Your NDGGA leadership has gone to Washington D.C. to advocate on behalf of North Dakota wheat and barley farmers. NDGGA has once again teamed up with the North Dakota Wheat Commission, NDSU Extension and others in presenting the “Best of the Best” research series.  These are but a few of the ways NDGGA is representing you on the state and national levels.
How can NDGGA participate in representing North Dakota wheat and barley farmers? It all starts with you. It is the support of you, your family, your friends and your neighbors that allows NDGGA to provide a voice in the policy decisions that impact you. You Raise. We Represent.  Membership Matters!
I also would like to extend an invitation to you to attend the 2017 NDGGA Annual Meeting. This year’s Annual Meeting with be held on Wednesday, December 13 at the Grand Forks Alerus Center beginning at 4:00 p.m. CDT. Hope to see you there!
