North Dakota Grain Growers Association Board of Directors member and former president Brad Thykeson has been named as the state director for the Farm Service Agency. In this role, Thykeson will help plan, organize and implement USDA policies across North Dakota.
NDGGA President John Weinand says Thykeson has an abundance of experience advocating for North Dakota farmers. “Brad has held leadership roles on both the state and national levels,” Weinand said. “He’s a farmer himself, so he has a great understanding of the issues we face and what producers in our state need from the FSA.”
Thykeson operates a family-farm near Portland, North Dakota. In addition to his role with the NDGGA, Thykeson has also served on the board of directors for the National Association of Wheat Growers and the American Farm Bureau Wheat Advisory Committee.
