The North Dakota Grain Growers Association is hosting EPA officials as part of its 30th annual E-Tour, taking place in Bismarck/Mandan area June 24 to 28.
The North Dakota Grain Growers Association is proud to host EPA officials at their 30th annual E-Tour to highlight the environmental stewardship of the state’s agriculture. From June 26 to 29, EPA officials will tour numerous locations throughout central North Dakota.
Participants will visit local farms, North Dakota State University facilities and agricultural businesses where there will be farm tours, seed treatments, new technology and aerial demonstrations. The NDGGA has hosted these tours for 30 years.
NDGGA President Ed Kessel explains that the E-Tour was established because members recognized the importance of demonstrating the practical application of federal regulations to EPA officials. “For thirty years, our organization has been at the forefront of working with government officials to reduce federal regulations that are burdensome to our members,” he states. “Producers are stewards of their land, and it’s important to illustrate the need for pesticides and the technology we’re using to apply them.”
